Cameron was born in San Diego, California to Billie and Emilio Diaz. Her father is Cuban American and her mother is American, English and German. Diaz did her schooling from Long Beach Polytechnic High School.

She grew up in long beach with her sister Chimene. As a kid she used to listen to modern music and act on them. As a teenage she used to stay out Hollywood parties till wee hours.
