She began her career at the age of seventeen as a fashion model with elite model management. She moved around the world with her modeling contracts and modeled for Levi’s, Calvin Klein and covers of seventeen magazines.

Her first debut was as a lead role in the Mask with co actor Jim Carrey. She got roles in many low budget films as She’s The One, Feeling Minnesota and the Last Supper. She won acclaim for her role in There’s Something About Mary, My Best Friend’s Wedding and Being John Malkovich. She won many awards and nominations for Vanilla Sky, a Life Less Ordinary, Gangs of New York, Any Given Sunday, Charlie’s Angels, Shrek, Holiday, Fun with Dick and Jane, in Her Shoes and The Box.
